About Warbird lovers

My name is Phil Glover and I'm a UK based historic aviation enthusiast. I've attended UK airshows regularly since the 90s and visited aviation museums all over the world. In this time I've been privileged to see amazing aircraft, skilled pilots, a variety of venues and enjoyed unique displays. With such a large collection of photographs and memories I thought a Facebook page where I could share these and provide my own commentary would be ideal, and so in June 2017 Warbird Lovers was born. 

The page quickly grew and I began sharing warbird news and accounts of more recent events. However, the content has always remained my own, all text is written by myself and only on select occasions are images from other sources used, but always with permission and with full credit.

Over the years the page has grown and expanded to Instagram and Twitter, and this website is the next step for Warbird Lovers as it provides a platform to share more in-depth and detailed articles. However, the Facebook page will always be the primary home of Warbird Lovers and will continue to be the most updated account.

 The UK warbird scene has certainly grown over the years Warbird Lovers has been running with a plethora of Hurricanes, Buchons and Spitfires joining the circuit, as well as a second Lysander and the return of the P-47. Warbird experience flights have continued to grow too, with the addition of the Buchon, Hurricane and dual control Mustang. But we've also seen the knock on effects of the pandemic hit the warbird and airshow scene. 

A final note about other accounts; I take it as a complement but the other "Warbirdlovers" social media accounts that have appeared over the years have no relation to me, despite them trying to be associated. Always look for the Warbird Lovers logo and my name, Phil Glover, to know that it is from the original Warbird Lovers. Accounts taking copyrighted images, copying other people's text, and simply re-uploading images and videos taken from other accounts, have nothing to do with me.
